Spiritual teaching from God
“Instead of telling people about your needs and depending on them, ask Me first.”
“Use what I have given you carefully.”
“Learn to live with what you have until you get another job.”
“I will not tell you in advance when I will give you another job.”
“Learn to wait patiently.”
This is not easy
There are needs at home.
There are concerns about tomorrow.
Money is needed.
There is the question of when another job will come.
This lesson is not as easy to live as it is to describe.
What I learned while waiting
Not insisting that everything happen exactly when I want it to.
Not allowing unnecessary anxiety about my circumstances to grow within me.
Not rebelling.
Not grumbling or muttering complaints.
Not complaining about every situation.
Not blaming anyone.
Not holding another person responsible for my hardships.
Receiving with gratitude
Receiving what comes to me with gratitude.
Not constantly grieving over what I do not have.
I learned that my devotion must not be one way when I have a job and another way when I do not.
Even when circumstances change, my faith must not change
I should not praise God when I have money and become angry with Him when I do not.
I should not pray when circumstances are favorable and abandon prayer when they are difficult.
Even when circumstances change, my faith in God must not change.
These are lessons from my life
I am trying to put these lessons into practice.
I experience this period as one in which God is teaching me waiting, patience, gratitude, and faith.
My wife, too, is standing beside me on this journey, experiencing these lessons and seeking to follow them.

1. My childhood desire
During these seasons of waiting, I am reexamining the spiritual life I have desired since childhood.
What I wanted was not merely a good job.
Not merely a good income.
Not merely a comfortable life.
I wanted the likeness of Jesus Christ to be visible in my life.
2. Comfort received in prayer
As I examined my life in prayer, I express the comfort that arose in my heart in these words:
“Was it not the likeness of My Son, Jesus Christ, that you desired from childhood?”
“Then I am leading you along the very path that shapes you into that likeness.”
“What you desired was no ordinary path. It is a life in which your old nature dies and the nature of Christ becomes visible in you.”
3. Every circumstance is a lesson
I experienced each circumstance in my life becoming a new lesson.
Some circumstances tested my patience.
Some tested my endurance.
Some tested my faith.
Some showed me my anger, impatience, and tendency to complain.
4. What I learned
In some situations, I learned to remain silent.
In some situations, even when I was treated unjustly, I learned not to confront it immediately but to face it in prayer before God.
Remaining silent does not mean approving of wrongdoing.
What I mean is learning not to respond to every situation with anger, revenge, or insulting words.
5. My aspiration
I desire to overcome each circumstance and grow in the character of Christ.
The likeness of Christ should keep increasing in my life.
That is my true aspiration.
